In Bone War Cemetery, Annaba is the Commonwealth War Grave of 2663633 Lance Corporal Joseph William Alexander Noble, serving with the Coldstream Guards who died 03/10/1943.

In St. Bartholemew's churchyard is a family headstone which reads:-

In Loving Memory
of
Joseph beloved husband of
Sarah Noble
Died Sept. 26th 1951 aged 62 years
Also of their son Joseph
Died on Active Service Oct. 3rd 1943
Also of Sarah I. Noble
Died May 12th 1961 aged 68 years

Joseph Noble is remembered in Newbiggin by the Sea on N10.04, N10.13 and N10.14
