In Adanac Military Cemetery, Miraumont is the Commonwealth War Grave of 290515 Private Andrew Forrest, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 15/09/1916.

A page in the Book of Honour in St. Bartholomew's Church, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea states that he was born in 1895, and was the son of John and Fanny Forrest of 11, Allen Road, Newbiggin-by-the Sea.

Andrew Forrest is remembered in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on N10.06 and N10.14 and in the Battalion History
