In Becklingen War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1503507 Sapper Edward Leo Dixon, serving with the Royal Engineers who died 16/04/1945.

In St. Bartholomew's Church is a family headstone which reads:

Dixon
In memory of Henry
husband of the late Sarah
who departed this life
April 28th 1931 aged 84 years.
Also Spp. Edward Leo
grandson of above
killed in action Western Europe
April 18th 1945 aged 25 years.
He asked of Thee life, and behold
Thou gavest him life, even for evermore.
"With Me in Paradise".
