Schofield, W., Pte., 1915
In Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, Nord is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1773 Private William Schofield, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 26/05/1915.

Margaret Allison adds that he died of gas poisoning, aged 20.

He is remembered in Ashington on A17.01 (A17.27) and A17.43 and in the Regimental Roll of Honour
