In Bergen General Cemetery, the Netherlands, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1092305 Flight Sergeant Robert Redpath Steven, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 04/12/1943.

Flight Sgt. Steven was killed when Handley Page Halifax V EB137 SE-N of 431 (R.C.A.F.) Squadron was lost on a mission to Leipzig, with the loss of all seven crew members.

Halifax EB137 SE-N had departed Tholthorpe at 2339 for Ops Leipzig. It was intercepted at 4500M by a Night-Fighter captained by Fw Karl-Georg Pfeiffer (XII/NJG1) and shot down at 0303 for his 9th Abschuss.
