In Tincourt New British Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 202881 Serjeant Bryan Hills, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 20/02/1918.

Margaret Allison reports that in 1911 he lived at 32½ Hawthorne Terrace, Ashington and that he was aged 29 years old when he died.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he was born in Berwick upon Tweed.

He is remembered in Ashington on A17.01 (A17.27) and A17.43
