In Gordon Dump Cemetery, Ovillers-La Boisselle is the Commonwealth War Grave of 15779 Private R.G. Crook, serving with the Somerset Light Infantry who died 01/07/1916.

Margaret Allison reports that in 1911 his address was 64 Katherine Street, Ashington, and that he was aged 23 when he died.

He is remembered in Ashington on A17.01 (A17.27), and A17.43
