In Serre Road Cemetery No.2 is the Commonwealth War Grave of 16275 Private Henry Aspin, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 26/09/1916.

Margaret Allison reports that the 1911 Census shows him living in Linton.

He is remembered in Ashington on A17.01 (A17.27) and A17.43
