In Vauxbuin French National Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 33949 Private R. Wilkinson, serving with the Cameronains (Scottish Rifles) who died 29/07/1918.

In St.Paul's Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory
of
Mary Wilkinson nee Hardy
who died at Twizel Mill Oct. 30th 1924
aged 63 years

Also Esau Wilkinson, her husband
who died at East Allerdean
March 20th 1929
aged 66 years.

Also Robert their son
who was killed in France, July 29th 1918
aged 21 years.
interred at Vaubuin

Also their daughter
Jane Hardy Wilkinson
who died September 24th 1973
aged 78 years.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that Robert Wilkinson was born in "Doddo" (Duddo) and that he first served with the Royal Scots Fusiliers with the service number of 39972.

Robert Wilkinson is remembered in Tillmouth on T18.01
