In Cologne Southern Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 95618 Private James Spratt, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 25/02/1920.

In Beadnell (St.Ebba's) Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:
In
Loving memory
of
John Spratt
who died at Chathill
Dec. 14.1933 aged 85 years.
Also of James, his son
who died in Cologne,
Germany Feb. 25, 1920
aged 19 years
Also of Jane, wife of
the above who died at
Denwick Feb. 13 1948aged 81 years.

He is remembered in Bamburgh on B3.01, B3.02 and B3.05
