Memorial Description
Roll of Honour, measuring 47 ins high x 24 inches wide (1.19 m x 609 mm), the top piece measuring 9 inches high x 16 inches wide (229 mm x 406 mm). The dedication is in the top piece, and the names are given in two columns. The letters are carved into the wood using Roman capitals.

1. The Roll of Honour was made as part of the refurbishing of the newly created Chapel of St. Oswald.
2. The name given here as “M.W. Forrester” on this memorial is shown on the Crucifix plaque (B3.01), as “Matthew F. Forester” and as “Pte. M.W. Forest” on the triptych inside the church (B3.02)
3. The name John W. Nutman on the above Roll of Honour is additional to those on the Roll of Honour in the grotto beneath Bamburgh Castle (B3.01)
