In Heverlee War Cemetery, Belgium, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1234786 Sergeant George Vivian Sharratt, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 18/11/1943.

Sgt. Sharratt was the rear gunner on board Avro Lancaster II DS680 KO-L of 115 Squadron, which was lost on a mission to Berlin. The Lancaster was shot down by a Luftwaffe night-fighter flown by Oblt. Eckart-Wilhelm von Bonin if II./NJG1, and crashed at the Belgian village of Hermée, about 5 miles north-northwest of Liege, with the loss of all eight crew members.
