In Bolton Churchyard is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of Major Dudley Francis de Crespigny Buckle serving with the 3rd Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers who died 24/04/1919.

The family headstone reads:

Major 3rd Northumberland Fusiliers
born October 24th 1878
died April 24th 1919.
and of Helena his wife
died June 15th 1939
aged 61 years.
