Luckhurst, F.J., A/Smn., 1916
In Warloy-Baillon Communal Cemetery Extension is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/3026 Able Seaman Frederick James Luckhurst, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 13/11/1916.

Colin Boyd has provided the following:

Frederick was born on 29th February 1892. He was working as a bricklayer, living with his father, William at 2, Henderson Street, Amble when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 6th January 1915.

Frederick was posted to the Drake Battalion on 20th August 1915 and died of wounds in 2/1st South Midland Casualty Clearing Station at Warloy on 13th November 1916.

Frederick James Luckhurst is remembered in Amble on A13.01, A13.03 and A13.07 and in the Alnwick Gazette Almanack page 43
