In Baillieul Communal Cemetery Extension, in the Nord region of France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 351 Flight Serjeant Thomas Frederick Boyd Carlisle, M.M., serving with the Royal Flying Corps who died 06/07/1916.

Simon Glancey has submitted the following:
Thomas Frederick Boyd Carlisle was born on December 26th 1893 at Hebburn-on-Tyne. He served in the Royal Flying Corps in France from August 1914, firstly as an Air Mechanic, then once he had gained his Royal Aero Club Aviator's Certificate in August 1915, he became a pilot with 1 Squadron, R.F.C., with the rank of Serjeant. He was wounded on July 4th 1916, dying two days later on July 6th of his injuries. His Military Medal was awarded posthumously on February 19th 1917.
