Brown, D., Pte., 1916
In Wimereux Communal Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 12279 Private David Brown, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 11/05/1916.

Ron Carson has provided the following:

David was born in 1894 at Newcastle upon Tyne, the son of Jane Ann and the late Thomas of 99 Helmsley Road, Newcastle.

He enlisted at Newcastle with 9th Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers and died of wounds received in action on 11 May 1916, aged 22.

David Brown is remembered in Newcastle on NUT007 and NUT271 and in the Battalion History page 126.
