In Newcastle upon Tyne (All Saints) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

In
loving memory
of
George William
the beloved husband of
Isabella S. Waller
who died July 10th 1900
aged 45 years.
Also Herbert
William Waller, M.C.
second son of the above
Captain (Tyneside Scottish)
21st Northumberland Fusiliers
who was killed at
Gavrelle-Roeux Line in the
Great Battle of Arras
April 10th 1917
in his 30th year.
“He gave his life for his country
and those he loved.”
And of the above
Isabella Susan Waller
who died March 21st 1939
aged 75 years.

“In the midst of life we are in death”.

He is remembered in Jesmond on J1.04, J1.08 and J1.19
