Brooks, G.T., 2nd Lieut., 1917
On the Cambrai Memorial, Louverval is the name of Second Lieutenant, George Thomas Brooks, serving with the London Regiment who died 30/11/1917.

1/13th Kensington Battalion

The son of Thomas Meggitt Brooks and Emily Sarah Brooks of 147 Rue Lamorinier, Antwerp, Belgium. Residing at South Gosforth, Newcastle he was Initiated into Kensington Battalion Lodge No 3624, London on the 30th June 1917 there is no record of any further Advancement. He was killed in action on the 30th November 1917 aged 22 he is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial, Louverval, Nord France.

He is remembered in Gosforth on G9.06 and G9.21
