Jones, H., L/Cpl., 1915
In New Irish Farm Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 3DG/5287 Lance Corporal H. Jones, serving with the 6th Battalion Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers), who died 02/05/1915.

Morpeth Herald 21/05/1915 carries a brief obituary:

Mrs Jones, of 28 Field Street, Gosforth, has received word that her son, Lance-Cpl. Henry Jones, was killed in action on May 2nd. Lance-Cpl. Jones, who was 31 years of age, served throughout the Boer War. Prior to rejoining the colours, he was employed by the Electric Supply Company, Pandon Dene.

He is remembered at Gosforth on G9.06 and G9.21
