Seales, W., A/Smn., 1915
On the Helles Memorial is the name of Tyneside Z/586 Able Seaman William Seales, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 04/06/1915.

Colin Boyd has provided the following:

William was born on 12th December 1895. He was working as a fitter living with his parents, Mark Thomas and Martha Jane at 61, South Terrace, Wallsend when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 20th October 1914.

He joined the Hood Battalion on 2nd November 1914 and was posted as missing later reported as having died of wounds on 4th June 1915.

William Seales is remembered in Wallsend on W7.04 and W7.19 page 20
