F/Sgt Everett was killed when Bristol Beaufort X8938 of the Torpedo Training Unit crashed in bad weather in Busbie Muir Reservoir, near Ardrossan, Scotland, with the loss of three crew members.

William Ronald Everett is remembered in Blackhall Colliery on B144.01
