Memorial Description

Cross of Latin type, large and slim, on a tapering pedestal on a stone coursed base. The whole sits in a semi-circular raised platform with five steps leading up to it. It is surrounded by grass, paths, bushes, etc. On each of the four faces of the pedestal the stone slab has been smoothed and outlined by a groove to bear the dedication on the front and the names on the sides. All lettering is in sans serif capitals.
A plaque has been added to the front of the base, dedicated to later conflicts. Lettering is in Roman capitals.

Notes

1. The cross was to remember the 13 men from WW1, 47 men and 1 woman from WW2, 1 man from Korea and 6 men and 2 women who died in an air raid in WW2.

2. A Service of Remembrance was held on September 8th 2011 at the new plaque in honour of those who have died since the Korean War.
