Son of Joseph and Jane Elizabeth Devlin, of Billingham.

Sgt. Devlin was a crew member of Hampden I X2965 KM- which took off from Waddington in a Hampden bomber on a raid on Cologne. It crashed into the sea. The bodies of Devlin and another were washed ashore; the other two crew are commemorated on Runnymede memorial.
