In Sunderland Southwick Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of C/650 Rifleman Jonathan Frederick Fleming serving with the 16th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps who died 30/03/1916.

The headstone reads:-

In loving memory of
Rifleman
J.F. Fleming (K.R.R.)
the beloved son of
George W. & Ellen Fleming
who died in Whalley Hospital
March 30th 1916, aged 20 years.
