In Brandhoek Military Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 20/702 Private George Richardson, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 08/06/1917.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he was born and lived in Silksworth and enlisted in Sunderland.

George Richardson is remembered in Silksworth on S111.01 and S111.02, in Sunderland in S140.048 page 256 and in the D.L.I. Book of Remembrance page 50.
