On the Helles Memorial is the name of Z715 Tyneside Able Seaman, Isaac Beattie serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, Collingwood Battalion, Royal Naval Division, who died 04/06/1915.

Isaac Beattie was born at Windy Nook at 9 Robson's Buildings, Windy Nook , Gateshead. He was employed as a miner. Isaac was killed in action at the Dardanelles on the 4th June 1915.

Killed in action.
Isaac Beattie, R.N.D., aged 24 years, of Windy Nook. Fourth son of John and the late Jane Ann Beattie.
