Heslop’s Local Advertiser 20/11/1945

In Bayeux War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 3192283 Private George William Morris, serving with the Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment) who died 20/06/1944.

Heslop’s Local Advertiser 20/11/1945 and 19/07/1947 carry a notice which reads:
“Morris – Windy Nook, George, died of wounds, June 20th 1944, N.W.E.”

17/07/1948 carries a notice which reads:
“Morris, 20 Low Well Gardens, Felling, George, died of wounds, June 20, 1944.”

He is remembered at Windy Nook on W95.01
