Arnell, R., AC2., 1941

Heslop's Local Advertiser 13/12/1947

In Halfaya Sollum War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Aircraftman 2nd Class Robert Arnell, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 02/12/1941.

Heslop’s Local Advertiser 14/12/1948 carries a notice which reads:
“Arnell – 147, Carr Hill Road, Windy Nook, L.A.C. Robert, killed in the Middle East on Dec. 2nd 1941.”

The edition for 13/12/1947 states: “Arnell, Windy Nook, Robbie, killed on active service, Dec. 2, 1941.”

He is remembered in Felling on F32.03 and in Windy Nook on W95.01
