On the Hollybrook Memorial, Southampton, is the name of M2/114262 Private John Davison, serving with the Army Service Corps who died 08/01/1916.

In St Cuthbert's Churchyard, Marley Hill is a family headstone which reads

In loving memory of
Sarah Isabella
youngest and dearly loved daughter of
Bartholomew and Mary Davison
who died Aug. 31st 1917
aged 19 years
Also of our dear son John
who was mined on the S.S. Citta de Palermo
crossing the Adriatic Sea
Jan. 8th 1916 aged 27 years

The Consett Guardian 02/06/1916 reports:

Davison, J of Church Street, Marley Hill, Private in M.T. Army Service Corps, lost in the Mediterranean Sea, 8th February, 1916, aged 27.
