In Fins New British Cemetery, Sorel-le-Grand is the Commonwealth War Grave of 16027 Private Walter Munro, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 11/11/1917.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states he was born in Morpeth, enlisted in Felling and resided in Gateshead.

Walter Munro is remembered in Gateshead on G39.024 G39.091 and G39.123 and in the D.L.I. Book of Remembrance page 314
