In St.Patrick's Cemetery, Loos is the Commonwealth War Grave of Second Lieutenant Harold Fenwick Waud, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 27/08/1917.

In Gateshead (Saltwell) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory of

beloved husband of
Catherine Waud
who died June 6th 1916
aged 72 years.
