On Plymouth Naval Memorial is the name of D/JX 255924, Able Seaman George Thompson, serving with the Royal Navy who died 13/11/1943.

Heslop's Local Advertiser 19/10/1946 reports:

"Thompson, (Elliot Street, Felling). David, died through war service on Oct.10th, 1945, aged 23, after service on H.M.S. Lookout. Also George, lost Aegean Sea, on Nov. 13th. 1943, aged 32, H.M.S. Dulverton. "

Heslop's Local Advertiser 18/10/1947 reports:

"Thompson, Felling, David R.N., died through war service Oct.10, 1945, also George R.N. lost at sea, Nov.13, 1943. "

Heslop's Local Advertiser 13/12/1947 reports:

Thompson - Elliot Street, Felling, George, R.N., lost at sea No.v 13, 1943.
