John Taylor and Ann Norman have submitted the following:

H Smith is probably Harold Smith, the younger brother of Edwin Smith who is also remembered on the memorial. He was born in about 1899.

He served as a Lance Corporal with 1st/4th Territorial Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers, regimental number 235188. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 26th May 1918.

He is remembered in Eighton Banks on E50.01 and E50.02
