Harrison, H., Pte., 1918 & Turnbull, W.S., L/Cpl., 1917

In St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen is the Commonwealth War Grave of DM2/209982 Private H. Harrison, serving with the Army Service Corps who died 04/11/1918.

The Blaydon Courier 06/11/1920 carries an In Remembrance notice:

“In loving memory of Horace Harrison, beloved husband of Lizzie Harrison, Lesbury Terrace, Chopwell, died Nov. 4th 1918, in Rouen Hospital, France. Home is dark without my loved one, But still the vacant chair recalls the love, the voice, the smile, of him who once sat there. Also my loving brother William Stobbs Turnbull, presumed killed in action, June 5th, 1917. Ever remembered by all.”

Horace Harrison is remembered in Chopwell on C92.01 and C92.02

William Stobbs Turnbull is remembered at Blackhill on B145.12
