In Mill Road Cemetery, Thiepval is the Commonwealth War Grave of 32131 Lance Corporal John Noble Lacey serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 17/04/1918.

His name is included in a booklet on the names on the Wolsingham Cenotaph compiled by Morris Ward, which includes a photo.

He is remembered in Wolsingham on W128.02, W128.03, W128.04, W128.05 and W128.13 and in the D.L.I. Book of Remembrance page 88
