Sgt. Dent, of 20 S.F.T.S. (Service Flying Training School), Cranborne Air Station, Rhodesia, was killed when his North American Harvard I P5958 training aircraft crashed some 19 miles north east of Salisbury, Rhodesia.
He was associated with the 1st Etherley Scouts
He is remembered in Bishop Auckland on B140.01 and B140.12 and in High Etherley on H127.01 and H127.02
