In Verrieres Churchyard, near Troyes in France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1594563 Sergeant James Melville, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 26/07/1944.

Sgt Melville was the rear gunner on Avro Lancaster I LL915 HW-V of 100 Squadron, which was lost on a mission to Stuttgart. The Lancaster crashed near the village of Verrieres, with the loss of all seven crew members.
