In the Church Cemetery is reputedly the family headstone for Pinkney which includes 242851 Private Joseph William Pinkney, serving with the West Yorkshire Regt. who died 10/08/1918.

The churchyard has been mainly cleared.

He is remembered at Trimdon Village on T59.02 and T59.05
