In Spennymoor (Tudhoe) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of M2/176083 Private George Knaggs serving with the Army Service Corps who died 28/10/1916.

The headstone reads:-

In loving memory
of
Pte. George Knaggs
the beloved son of
Robert and Isabel Knaggs
who died Dec. 26th 1916
aged 36 years

Thy will be done

George Knaggs is remembered at Spennymoor on S131.02 and S131.11 and at Tudhoe Grange on T61.02
