Pte. 5169 Royal Defence Corps. (Formerly 3750 DLI). Died home 23/6/1917. Age 51. On 29 June 1917 he was buried at Spennymoor (Tudhoe, York Hill Cemetery), service conducted by Rev. Douglas. Burial register number 4606 where his occupation is recorded as miner. Lived 39 Post Office Street, Low Spennymoor.
