Thomas Stephenson was the son of Fred and Elizabeth Annie nee Johnson born in 1920 at Ferryhill. His siblings included Maggie, Freda, Lily born 1917, Joan born 1922, Arthur born 1924, John William born 1926 and Joseph born 1928.
Fred Stephenson was a Colliery Engine man and the family in 1939 lived at 23 Lightfoot Terrace, Dean Bank, Ferryhill.
