Memorial Description

This is a set of documents, which purport to be a list of the local casualties from 1939-1945 set out in the order of the months in which they died.

Names

Notes

1. The implication is that it is a draft for a Book of Remembrance.

2. There is the implication of a link with document reference EP/Fer 14/98, though when a comparison was run between the two sources there were a considerable number of differences. Both clearly refer only to casualties, and not to those who served. The page for July is missing from this set of documents and a check was run to ensure that it was not out of order, or had been written on the back of one of the other month’s lists.

3. The entries below are asterisked where they do not appear on the single sheet which is EP/Fer 14/98. The only entries on EP/Fer 14/98 which are not matched to the monthly lists are where the death occurred in July – as this page is missing – or where the entry on the single sheet is incomplete.

4. This is the draft for the Book of Remembrance in St. Luke's Church F38.11
