Son of Mary and the late John Hiddlestone, of 1 7, Darcy St., Langley Park, Durham.

In All Saints Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:-

Christopher C. 11th East Yorks.
beloved son of the above
who died at Le Treport from
wounds received Dec 18th
1917 aged 25 years

His brother James also died in WW1.
