In Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt, is the Commonwealth War Grave of KP/670 Able Seaman James Hiddlestone serving with the Anson Battalion, Royal Naval Division, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 08/10/1915.

Son of John and Mary Hiddlestone, of 17, D'Arcy St., Langley Park, Durham.

In All Saints Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:-

who died 22nd Oct. 1916
aged 52 years
also of Mary A.E. beloved wife of
the above who died at Bingley
Yorks. March 28th 1932
aged 66 years
Also of their son
James
who died at Alexandria
of wounds received at Gallipoli
8th October 1915
aged 21 years
Also of
Christopher C. 11th East Yorks.
beloved son of the above
who died at Le Treport from
wounds received Dec 18th
1917 aged 25 years

His brother Christopher also died in WW1.
