Armstrong, G., Pte., 1918
In Maurois Communal Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 21254 Private G. Armstrong, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 10/10/1918.

The Consett Guardian 22/03/1979 reports the story of his daughter, who was born after he was killed, found that his name was not on the memorial and would try to have the name added.

He is remembered in Consett on C101.01 and in Durham on D47.013 page 280
