In L'Homme Mort British Cemetery, Ecoust-St. Mein is the Commonwealth War Grave of 203172 Private Robert Henry Maude, serving with the Yorkshire Regiment who died 23/04/1917.

The Blaydon Courier 01/05/1920 carries:

"In loving memory of Pte. Robert Henry Maude, Yorks Regt. who was killed in action April 23rd, 1917, dearly beloved and only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Maude. Ever remembered by his loving mother, sisters and brothers-in-law."

He is remembered at Annfield Plain on A38.01 and A38.11
