15th July 1918 Age 23

Son of George Robert and Isabella Cummings, of 5, Batey St., Catchgate, Annfield Plain.

A family headstone reads:-

In loving memory of
Thomas Horsfield
the dearly beloved son of George Robert and
Isabella Cummings of Catchgate
Second Lieut. in the Fifth D.L.I.
who passed away at Shincliffe
Military Hospital on July 15th 1918
aged 23 years and 8 months
