He was born at Carlisle and enlisted at Newcastle-on-Tyne. He was a Confectioner living at Annfield Plain and was Initiated into 2929 Coronation Lodge on 15th April 1914; Passed on 20th May 1914 and Raised on 17th June 1914.

He was killed in action on 4th October 1917 aged 29 and is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial Panel, Belgium 132 to 135.

Frederick William Storey is remembered at Annfield Plain on A38.01 and at Stanley on S135.12
