Memorial Description

Plaque 11 inches high x 18 inches wide set in a moulded wood frame. There is a single line red border culminating in squared crosses at the corners. Lettering is in Roman upper and lower case.

Brass in wood frame.

To the Glory of God & the Loved Memory of
Cpl. Frederick G. Bates
who served 3 years in Mesopotamia
and Gave his Life for his Country
1st September 1918 – Aged 27 years.
