Memorial Description

Prayer desk 103 cm high x 70cm wide x 36cm deep. There is a brass plaque 12 cm high x 13 cm wide on the side of the desk bearing the dedication. It has a cross at centre top, lettering is in Roman capitals.

Dark oak, brass plaque.

In loving + memory of
Private Frank Varey
Husband of Florence Varey.
A devoted Choirman, Sunday
School Teacher, and communicant
in this Church, who volunteered
for active service on the outbreak
of the Great War, and fell in
action in France, July 1st 1916
Aged 26 years.
This desk is placed by his fellow
Church workers and friends.
